What if the media had a strong commitment to a better world?  Setting aside whether that commitment is a conflict of interest with the function of pure journalism... I wonder how this might affect what content got delivered, what news took precedence, what stories got told, what slant got used.  I'm no expert in this area, but it seems to me that this is a question worth exporing.

Any story my father told me at bed-time.  The stories would usually revolve around a boy named Johnny, who (coincidentally?  :-)  shared many of the same life circumstances as my thre brothers and I.  Johnny would get involved in  many adventures where he confronted what scared him and found adventure and excitement and new horizons on the other side.  I can't for the life of me remember any specifics of the stories - but this is the impression it has left in me 35 years later.  Oh how I'd wish we recorded those stories!

Anyone can express true leadership - regardless of rank, role, or life cicumstance.  In my experience, True Leadership has three essential qualities or characteristics:

1. it is authentic - comes from the inside out - is sourced from a genuine passion for something.
2. It is about ushering in the existence of a new reality - not merely rehashing or sustaining an old one.  About creating something that currently doesn't exist.
3. It inspires others - to move beyond their own limiting perspective and adopt and act from a larger more inclusive and whole perspective.
